Travel insurance is valid in all countries with the exception of countries or areas that the Ministry for Foreign Affairs or the World Health Organization advises against travelling to. However, if you are already in a country or area when the Ministry for Foreign Affairs advises against it, your insurance applies.  

When you take out the insurance, you state whether your trip is within Europe, the rest of the world or the United States and what period you will be away. The insurance covers all countries within the geographical area you have chosen. The insurance premium is based on your choices.
