The insurance is valid for the insurance period you have chosen and it is stated on the insurance certificate. Travel Insurance Plus and Baggage Insurance start when you leave your home for departure, provided that the premium has been paid.

You can choose to take out travel insurance Basic from day 1 if you do not have home insurance or from day 46 (or 61) if you are going to be away longer than what the home insurance's basic travel cover covers (usually 45 days).

The insurance is valid only if the premium is paid before the insurance period begins.
