What happens if my luggage is delayed?
If you have taken out Travel Insurance Plus and your baggage arrives at your final destination more than 2 hours after you arrive, you will be compensated for necessary and reasonable additional costs that you incur. On the outward journey, the compensation amount is up to 5000 SEK/person and on the return journey up to 1000 SEK/person.
In order for compensation to be paid, you need a PIR report (delay certificate from the airline) and an original receipt for your purchases. Purchases made after you have received your bag back will not be refunded.
If you have Baggage Insurance and your luggage is delayed by more than 2 hours on the outbound or return journey, you will receive compensation of SEK 1000. If the delay is more than 4 hours, you will receive SEK 1,500 and if the luggage is delayed by more than 6 hours, you will receive SEK 2000 in compensation. In order for you to receive compensation, you need a PIR report (delay certificate) from the airline.
